I was in a prospective client’s office the other day, and we tried a little experiment – I had them sit down at my laptop and told them to delete any files they would like.

The client went to My Documents, then into my projects directory looking carefully for a folder that sounded really important.  They chose “Kishmish Financials” and pressed shift delete and replied yes to the dialog box that asked “Are you are sure you want to permanently delete this folder?”

After we confirmed that the folder was deleted I was able to very calmly, in literally in a matter of seconds, recover my folder.  I then asked the potential client, “Now let me do the same at your desk.” (*Crickets*)
